Outdoor Photography Sessions in Gloucestershire
Enjoy a stroll, let the kids run around and I’ll be there to capture the moments that make you YOU.
Heading outside offers a more natural feel to studio photography and can make for a less daunting experience for younger children, or those with special needs. With minimal direction and posing, the sessions are focused on your family at its best.
My favourite time of year to head outdoors is autumn when the light and colours make for the most magical family photographs. However, here in the Cotswolds, we are spoilt for choice for unique backdrops for your family memories throughout the year.
We had a photo shoot with Katie last weekend and I was really impressed! Katie was really friendly and chilled, she knew that my step son was very camera shy and she did a fantastic job with him. She took lots of natural shots so we didn’t even realise she was taking photos, which really helped with my step son. She managed to get him to smile!! And we have some really lovely family photos to cherish. Thanks Katie!

Looking for somewhere a bit special?
This year, why not head to one of these beautiful locations for some really special family photographs?
COTSWOLD LAVENDER
Cotswold Lavender farm is a stunning location for a family photoshoot. The lavender is only in full bloom for a handful of weeks each summer and is truly a sight to behold.
Typically the lavender is at its best early to mid July, however this does vary slightly from year to year. Sessions can be pre-booked at any point throughout the year, with dates confirmed once the farm has released its opening times for the year.Â
Bookable with a £99 surcharge.
THE CONFETTI FIELDS
With its gorgeous white, pink and purple flowers, the Real Flower Petal Confetti fields are another stunning location for unique family photoshoots. Â
The fields are only open to the public for a week or so in the summer. Sessions can be pre-booked at any point throughout the year, with dates confirmed once the farm has released its opening times for the year.Â
Bookable with a £99 surcharge.
WESTONBIRT ARBORETUM IN THE SPRING AND AUTUMN
In addition to offering spring and autumn photoshoots in the local area, I also love heading further afield to offer family photo sessions at the spectacular Westonbirt Arboretum.
With stunning blossoms and gorgeous autumn leaves, your photographs will have the perfect backdrop.
Bookable with a £99 surcharge.

Outdoor Photoshoot FAQs
If you would like to understand more about the process, see my frequently asked questions about outdoor photoshoots below.
Before your photoshoot
Can I pay for my session in instalments?
Yes! You are more than welcome to pay for your preferred photography package in monthly instalments in the run up to your session. Please let me know if you’d like to take advantage of this when booking your session. Payment plans can also be used to pay for your products after your view and order session, however no photographic products will be received until your invoice is paid in full.
DO I HAVE TO BUY FROM ONE OF YOUR PACKAGES?
No, you are welcome to make a bespoke order. There is, however, a minimum spend equal to the relevant gold package.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK OUR FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION FOR?
Family photoshoots can take place at any time in your family’s life but honestly, the best time is now! Don’t put it off in the hope that a perfect day will come; you might end up regretting that decision. Let me help you to celebrate family life as it is now!
On the day
Can I have my hair and make-up done?
Yes absolutely! I work with a fabulous hair and make-up artist who specialises in beautiful, natural make-up. Simply let me know you’d like to book when you get in touch.
WHAT ARE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS?
Standard terms and conditions can be found here.
After your photoshoot
When will my photographs be ready?
Please note that some mini sessions and event photography packages may not include a personal view and order session; in these cases you will be provided with an online gallery from which to download your photographs.
What happens after my photoshoot?
As your photoshoot draws to a close, we’ll arrange a convenient date and time for you to return to the studio for your view and order session. I don’t like to keep clients waiting too long, so I normally aim to get you back within a couple of weeks of your photo session.
If you can’t wait that long, you’ll be offered the opportunity of a sneak peek of one of your photographs on Facebook the evening of your photoshoot. Please note that I need your consent to use your images in this manner, so if you have not already opted into this within your contract, you may be asked to complete a model release form.
At your view and order appointment, you’ll be shown a beautiful, customised slideshow of all of your photographs. You’ll be reminded of the packages available and shown the art of the possible when it comes to wall art. And then it’s up to you to choose how you’d like to proceed. There’s never any pressure and, of course, if you don’t fall in love with your photographs, I will happily refund your deposit. Thankfully I can report that 100% of my clients have loved their photographs!
Orders are to be made at the view and order session so please make sure all decision makers can attend. I accept cash or debit card and can also offer payment plans if necessary.
DO I HAVE TO DECIDE ON MY PHOTOGRAPHS AT THE VIEW AND ORDER SESSION?
What is the charity donation?
Will you use my images?
I wrote a blog post which goes into a little more detail about this here.
