Most of my clients start their journey with me when they are pregnant. They’ve seen their friends’ beautiful maternity portraits and want that for themselves – but it takes a real leap of faith to sign up for a photoshoot where the focus is entirely on them. They’re quietly worried that they’ll look frumpy, or awkward (or any number of other hang-ups we often have as women). But the number one piece of feedback I get from my maternity clients is that I am great at putting people at ease – closely followed by how much they love their photographs!

I’ll guide you through absolutely everything, from how to stand, to where to look – even what to think – to help bring out that pregnancy glow we often hear about (but rarely appears!). I will make you look and feel amazing and you’ll enjoy the experience – I promise!

Motherhood means different things to different people. Being a mum has felt like my calling in life (as cheesy as that sounds) – it’s what I was meant to do. But that’s not to say I haven’t found it hard – I have! It’s been filled with anxiety and I’ve found it incredibly stressful – two emotions that I’d never properly experienced before. I’ve always been really good at handling stressful situations but, somehow, add my own child into the mix and I’m a mess! He’s no baby anymore – he’s walking, talking, and now schooling me in my times tables! It’s mind-blowing how fast that time has gone.

My own experiences of motherhood, as well as ones of infertility and loss, have helped to shape me both as a person and someone running a family-orientated business. I know the anxiety and overthinking that comes with being pregnant, especially if you’ve experienced loss before. I know what it feels like to be stressed about my baby not feeding properly, or exhausted because I haven’t had any sleep. I know handing your baby over to someone you don’t know is a big deal. I know what it’s like to have a toddler who won’t sit still for a second so you can catch a breath.

I will treat your baby with all the love and care I would give my own. I won’t mind when your baby won’t sleep during their photoshoot or your toddler won’t sit still. And I won’t bat an eyelid when your kids are being.. well.. kids! I’ve dealt with it all before – and if I have a virtue, it’s definitely patience!
