The Best Christmas Lights in Longlevens

One of our favourite hobbies at this time of year is to go out as a family and look at all the pretty Christmas lights. Here in Longlevens, we are lucky to have some gorgeous displays, so I thought I’d share with you some of the best Christmas lights in Longlevens along with a route to see them all! This was originally put together in 2021, and I’m in the process of updating for 2023. If you’re able to contribute do let me know!

Longford Lane

We’re going to start at Longford Lane near the bridge. There are several houses which have some beautiful Christmas lights and displays.

Ogbourne Close

Ogbourne Close in Longlevens have been putting on a massive festive display for more than thirty years. The lights are normally turned on the 1st December and Father Christmas even visits every evening for around ten days before the main event. The lights are normally on 4.30pm – 9.30pm and you can see Santa between 5.30pm and 7.30pm. Donations are requested in support of the Pied Piper Appeal, a local charity supporting making a difference to the lives of sick and disabled children in the county.

The Driving Route

For us, walking all that way with Little Legs in tow wouldn’t have been feasible, so we went on a bit of a drive to see the lights. Ogbourne Close in particular can be really busy at this time of year so perhaps park nearby and walk to get up close to the display and to make a charity donation while you’re there – please park responsibly!

The Walking Route

At 2.7 miles, the walking route would make for a nice evening walk for kids in prams or families with older kids. You can even break up your journey with a drink in the King Edward VII!

I hope you’ve found this useful. Share with your friends or anyone who might enjoy it and don’t forget to follow me on Facebook for more!

Fantastic experience! I took my family for a shoot with Katie & she was amazing from start to finish. My toddler was a terror and my daughter a diva but some how she worked her magic and we have beautiful digital photos, prints and a lovely big frame for the wall. We had a lovely viewing where we were able to select the photos we wanted, we couldn’t possibly chose from them so we bought them all! 🙂 She made us all feel very welcome and my children and even my husband enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend! I will be back for more photos as my family grow. Thank you Katie
